Aged for much longer than a standard VSOP the rhum sees time in both used bourbon barrels as well as French oak casks. This is part of France after all and being so the DNA of this rhum is still agricole but the profile flirts with a wide ranging scope of flavors including maple, sweet molasses, cherry preserves, oolong tea, cocoa, roasted hazelnuts and vanilla bean.
