The little-known appellation of Cheverny is located in the eastern part of the Loire Valley in France. This is a red wine based on Pinot Noir, then Gamay and a dash of Côt. This is a fresh wine, vibrant with acidity and lively fruit aromas. The average age of vines are 30 years, the soils are clay and limstone based. The Gamay is whole-cluster fermented semi-carbonically. Unoaked.
